Not to get all spiritual, but there is something truly profound about giving life. Life to dreams, life to ideas… and this blog is a representation of just that.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. – Genesis 1:1

I enjoy this quote less as a representation of religion, and more as a quest for knowledge and knowing. For me it represents the formless shape and darkness that is the process of discovery, before you get that “aha!” moment and suddenly you see the path ahead of you.

This chapter feels like the culmination of dreams I sometimes couldn’t find the words for and were just a whisper in my heart. I couldn’t have been older than five when I declared to my parents that one day I was going to go to school in New York City. And here I am. Accepted (somehow, I am still not so sure how) and now in attendance at the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU.

It still doesn’t feel real. Not in the sense of “Am I going to wake up and all of this is just a dream?” but more like “How can I bottle this electricity coursing through me? I am barely tethered to the Earth because I feel so light and full of energy I could simply fly away.”

This program and the lovely people in it leave me feeling seen in a world where I have often felt at odds of what is expected of me or considered ‘normal.’ ₊˚⊹♡

No one wonder why you jump around to so many things- of course you follow where passion and curiosity flows, they have been there on their journey too. No one questions that odd niche interest of yours- of course you find the beauty in things and would you tell them more? No one thinks twice when an inspiring idea touches you so deeply that you need to jump into action- of course you are excited, and how can they help you make your dream a reality?

This is a place where tech meets creativity at the intersection of curiosity and imagination, guided by the north star of community. And man… I am just so, so filled with gratitude for this opportunity to be here and give life and light to all my wild ideas.

Thank you for taking this journey with me. This blog will serve as a way to document not just my work, but my personal journey to becoming the creative technologist, artist, and multi-hyphenate mosaic of my dreams.
